Similarities between 365daband and SHINee

I feel like 365daband is similar to SHINee in many ways...from the number of members to the role of each member..let me explain, keep reading!

Onew (SHINee) and Isaac (365daband)
Both playing the role of the "leader" of the group, they both are very charming in their own ways. They both have amazing vocals that make the ladies all swoon for them, and they both can sing English incredibly well. They both are crazy good looking and they know how to keep their group together and sometimes they make you go "awww, I love you!"

Taemin (SHINee) and S.T. (365daband)
So they are the "pretty girly" ones in their group, no offense. They both are the youngest (maknae) in their groups. Also, Taemin and S.T. are both amazing dancers and have had longer hair than the other members..

Minho (SHINee) and Tronie (365daband)
Rappers and full of charisma..these two both fit into this category. Both being the main person to rap in their group. Funny thing is that both weren't actually recruited because of their voices, but for other things at first. Now, I know Tronie recently left 365daband, which makes me feel like 365daband isn't as close as they should be. SHINee has been together for about five years, while 365daband isn't even half of that number of years.

Key (SHINee) and Will (365daband)
I think that these two are alike because they both are able to speak more than one language. Key is very good in English and Will ironically can sing Korean. There's not much in common among them, but they do have a very fashionable side to them.

Jonghyun (SHINee) and Jun(365daband)
These two have voices that will make you want to hug the next person you see, haha. They both give off a bad boy kinda vibe, and they both have amazingly cute/adorable sides to themselves. They're the people that have aegyo that makes you go crazy and screaming happily...yup, that's them.

Vpop Vs. Kpop (Part 1)

To start off, I'd like to say that I am 100% Vietnamese, and I'm very proud to be Vietnamese.
First off, Training.
How many VPop bands/artists were actually trained before their debut? Only two, or at least one. 365daband and X5. Now these two groups were formed under VAA. Even through 365's training time compared to Kpop training time is like a pebble to a person, they're the best Vpop band around.
Second, Group/Artist Name
Comparing Kpop group names like 2NE1, SHINee, 2pm, Girl's Generation, etc to Vpopgroups like 365daband, X5 girls, and Mister Band. From these names you can tell that Kpop has unique names that are most of the time, a different way to spell a word. "Twenty One" "21" "Shiny." While when you look at Vpop bands, their names aren't as unique (not meant to be offensive). If you were to search up X5, you'd have a very hard time finding anything about them, then you'd have to try to find "X5 Girls" Or "X5 vpop." It's seriously not a good idea to make it seem like a math term. Sure, you could argue with me and say "what about f(x)?" Well, search f(x)..the first thing that shows up is them. So maybe it has to do with the fact that vpop isn't searched often or shared around. Why is it that most of vpop names have to do with numbers...? Kpop names are more on word and spelling play, which is what makes them pop out more. I also heard about Mi-A from VAA Entertainment...and I have to say.."MIA!?!" That is not a unique name and there is another artist with a similar name, why couldn't they have chosen a unique name. Because out of most vpop artists' names, their names are very common in America and other places, so it's not of any use to use that name to their advantage. Say "Isaac" from 365daband, if you were to search up just his name..you wouldn't find him. But let's take for example, "Onew" from SHINee, you could easily find him...facts like his blood type...hehe
Third, Music Videos.
Awakening by 365daband was probably the best and advanced vpop  music videos, but it isn't even that close to a music video made by SM Entertainment.
365daband "Awakening" Music Video
There is always a story to vpop music videos (except "Get On The Floor") I get that it's a good idea, but if you focus on how sometimes kpop videos are bright colors, freaking awesome dance moves, and a lot of random things. That's what makes people intrigued to start off, then they have good looking guys who know how to sing and dance.

While watching TTBY Episode 13

Are you finally going to tell her Tae Joon?! Please do so!
Hahaha, you sent that to the wrong person..hehe.
YES! HOLD ONTO HER ARM, TAE JOON. OMGOSH, PLEASE DO SO JAE HEE...I'M SO JEALOUS OF YOU!
Intense gaze...don't do that please Jae Hee, you seem like you are going to leave :(
Aww, the sticky notes..his voice for the note was adorable..like adorable!!
Stupid commercial on dramafever -_-
Well, I guess I'll just listen to Ring Ding Dong while waiting....
NOW, Back to the show.
Tae Joon's face is so cheeky, it's perfect. Where is he going...? Ohhhh, let's do this Tae Joon! Hwaiting!
He jumped!! Yippee! They're so cute..did you just point to her and got caught, hehe.
Hyun Jae..I have mixed feelings..and oomph..he touched the stick. Tense awkward moment..ottoke?
Perfect Jump goes to...Tae Joon.
The coach yells at Hyun Jae and I sorta feel bad that Hyun Jae only wants to beat Tae Joon and doesn't understand that he needs to do it for himself. And I bet he's not going to beat Tae Joon. Sorry dude.
What's up with the cards..? Tarot reading, how interesting. You can do anything?? Haha, what the heck is wrong with him. Lol.
Eun Gyul...more like Eun Gyullible. HAHAHA, I'M LAUGHING.
They look like they're having quite the fun..Adorable Eun Gyul practicing his own cheer? Gu..
I kinda wish we could see more interactions between Hyun Jae and Jae Hee. What the heck...? Aww, she pretty much saved him..that stupid Hyun Jae.
Commercials again...Ring ding dong, ring ding dong, ring diggi ding diggi, ding, ding, ding!!
Well..I seriously hardly listen to KPOP, most of the time, it's just mostly Korean Drama ost..I'm not complaining..only five minutes more before I have class..that sucks xD

Now she tells him..ooohhh, don't be stupid Tae Joon! Of course Hyun Jae is. Maroon 5 in the background. Aww, Sherlock and Watson. CUTE! The one part of a drama where the character believes anyone that says the person has bad luck..seriously?
..
Anyways, I had to leave for class and I watched the rest on my iPod touch so I wasn't able to write down my thoughts.. sorry!

Hope you liked this random post!

If My Life Was a Korean Drama (Part 1)

Hello! Today I'm going to write about and imagine how it'd be if I was a character on a Korean Drama.
To start off, let's go with them most popular one- the main female lead.

I'd have more than one person liking me at the same time.

  • Do you know what this means? This basically means that my sad lonely self will have two or more really handsome (possibly) gentlemen liking me. Woah! One could possibly be a chaebol, I'm not complaining, but as long as he doesn't have an evil mother, father, aunt, grandfather, etc. Now, sadly, I'd probably have to choose one..do you know how heartbreaking it would be if someone told you they liked you, but you had no idea and currently dating their worst enemy or best friend.
  • Now the second thing to this is...I'd be surrounded by very nice looking men who I wouldn't mind spending my life daydreaming about. One moment, I'd be all over one guy, the next, maybe the other one. I think I'm probably a terrible person because of the fact that I think it's perfectly okay to like more than one person at a time.
No matter what, you look amazing when you wake up.
  • I mean, how amazing would this be?! You would just have to wake up everyday and you have the most beautiful face and perfect hair. Make up, too! I mean, does a personal stylist and make up artist come to your house during your sleep and get you ready for the next day. I wouldn't mind it...I'd love it even more if one of them was strangely a super cute flower boy.

Running Man's Kim Jong Kook

I recently started watching Running Man, I wanted to watch it because Park Shin Hye, Kim Woo Bin, and Choi Jin Hyuk. It wasn't the most exciting episode now that I've watched so many. I think my first reaction was "What is this?!?" Well, my question was answered- it is now my new obsession. To be more truthful, my new obsession is actually Kim Jong Kook. Can I ask how a guy can be so tough, handsome, kind, and loving at the same time? He's probably close to perfect. I think that most should know that Kim Jong Kook actually goes on Running Man with medical tape on his back.
His truly amazing personality is what makes me think he's so perfect. Can I mention he also has an amazing voice!! To be honest, I think that Jong Kook is very soft on the inside and very tough on the outside. I think he can get hurt emotionally easier than physically. There have been so many times I wanted to just see him..this is what people call obsession. But it's not, he makes my bad days better, that's probably why I've adored him so much. He makes me realize I just need to be strong no matter what. I learned how he chose good decisions in his life. Like when he was offered a mobile phone if he joined a gang, he knew better. I love Kim Jong Kook. I hope that years from now, I won't forget how this one oppa helped me in my life.
I listen to his music even though I don't understand it. He has such amazing English, it really surprises and amazes me. Something about him just makes me want to scream and smile. He is actually very humble. Be honest with me, how many guys have both brains and brawn. I hardly know anyone like that. He's a legit gentleman with a cute weak spot for women. I can talk about him forever, and it may become an issue. His voice is pure ecstasy, I want to just dream about clouds, happiness, and of course, Kim Jong Kook.
It has only been about 20 minutes that I've found out Kim Jong Kook was on Thuy Nga Paris By Night 81!! Now as a Vietnamese who has parents who usually watch Paris By Night, I was very excited and looked it up as soon a I could.

( I will edit this post whenever I have crazy Kim Jong Kook feels)

Heirs' Second Male Lead!

Yes, we've all watched a drama and probably loved the second male lead, but only to cry when the lead girl chose the one that acted like a jerk to her. In one of the most popular dramas, we have Ji Hoo from Boys Over Flowers. We loved him for always being there for Jan Di, even when she didn't pay attention to him. Also in You're Beautiful, most of us felt so heartbroken for Shin Woo..like seriously Go Mi Nyu, TURN AROUND! Most of us were probably screaming at the screen only to accept defeat when she left..     But, today I'm going to talk about the Heirs second male lead..as you all know as- Young Do. He's really  not your typical nice guy who will do everything for girl, but is never brave enough to tell her he likes her. Young Do is the total opposite, not even afraid to say that "You're mine" to Eun Sang in the sixth episode. This is a one of a kind drama because the male lead isn't the "bad boy" or "jerk" that most male leads are at the beginning. Heirs literally throws the two stereotypes around. Even though they still reflect the stereotype for awhile, they are not any similar. Young Do is more like Jun Pyo than Kim Tan is. I can't wait to see more of the love triangle. Heirs is such a wonderful drama and is sort of like a typical Korean Drama. Not only does it have an amazing cast including Lee Min Ho, Park Shin Hye, Kim Woo Bin, Krystal Jung, Kim Ji won, or Min Hyuk, the plot lines are seriously just breathtaking.
I can't even bear myself to press forward even for a few seconds because everything is worth watching. Other dramas can have moments where I pass through so many minutes. So, if you haven't watched it, WATCH IT!

Listening to Music in a Different Language...

Recently, I realized that whenever I have an open mod in school, I usually spend that time doing homework-while listening to music in Korean. Now to get this clear, I don't understand Korean. All I know in Korean is "Saranghae," "Oppa," "Annyeonghaseyo," and "Arrasou," and very basic words..that I've learned from Korean Dramas. After observing how much work I could get done while listening to Korean music. Now, if you're a person who is only fluent in English, then you're in luck. You could easily listen to any other language you don't know!
I find listening to music in a different language benefits you because when you are listening to a song in a language you don't understand, you will focus less on the actual words. While as if you are listening to a language you know, when you are trying to focus, the lyrics that you understand will distract you.
So next time before you play a Lady Gaga or One Direction song, try putting a song in another language. Some good choices to start with is (if you're interested in Kpop/music) listen to bands such as CNBlue, 2PM, or Shinee. Girl bands? Try f(x) or Girl's Generation. If you understand Vietnamese like me, probably don't try listening to Vpop...it would distract you. BUT, if you don't then I strongly recommend listening to VPop and music. Not cai luong because that music is very...uhh, I'd rather not say...Some of my favorite Vietnamese music to listen to (when I'm not doing homework) is 365daband, Dong Nhi, or Suboi. Try searching different kinds of music on http://www.nhaccuatui.com/
Good luck! Hope you liked my tips, and Saranghae!

Her Legend REVIEW (Spoilers...)

I have been watching the Korean drama called "Her Legend." It focuses on a girl (Eun Jung Soo) who through a rough life once again meets her cousin who stole Jung Soo's fate. It takes us through what happens and shows us the two men that are in both of their lives who have to deal with the secret that's been kept.
It's not a terrible drama, but it isn't like so good that you will spend a whole night to watch all of it-seriously, don't do that. I have to admit though, the 19 episodes were great, but the ending...It totally made me wonder why I spent time watching the drama. To start off, the lead couple had no chemistry whatsoever, I think that it was because the drama didn't allow time for the lead couple to develop their relationship. It just through the romance it, made them kiss, and that was awkward. Most importantly, I just felt that there really was no explanation of why Eun Jung Soo liked Do Jin Hoo. Was it just because??
Second thing of all, I don't care that Kyung Hee is punishing herself-I actually like it! I mean someone who has that ill of a mind and heart to do that should not be comforted! I could not understand the logic behind that...Did Mrs. Woo not realize what had happened..no, you were not destined to be mother and daughter. The real mother was still alive! How could a daughter say to her real mother all those things and treat her that way is what surprised me. But, it really showed how greed could affect a person and their life.
Min Ki, Min Ki..he was a pleasantly great second male lead that I actually liked. I'm usually a person who dislikes the second male leads, except for a few. Sure, that was his best friend, but I wish he continued to fight for Jung Soo...I loved it when he came to Jin Hoo's house and gave him a wake up call. I'm surprised Jung Soo didn't fall for him, but I guess that's because that is what always happens to second male leads. Jin Hoo and Jung Soo didn't have any chemistry, while I could see a small spark between Jung Soo and Min Ki. I think that the overwhelming plot lines had people overlook the romance in the drama. I personally wanted to see more of Jung Soo and Jin Hoo's relationship developing, but sadly I saw nothing.

In the end, it was not at all what I wished the drama to be. I had hoped for more, but didn't get it. I recommend it to certain people who like the plot of it to watch it. If you're into romantic comedies like I am, I suggest watching other dramas..Overall, I give it a 7/10.

Marian Days: Day 1

From where I live to this wonderful event was about nine and a half hours counting the breaks we took.
After finally arriving at our hotel..
We settled for a short time, while I connected to my wifi as soon as possible and started my current Korean Drama: You're Beautiful. But seriously I love Park Shin Hye and Yong Shin. Heartstrings was one of my favorite dramas that I recently decided to watch. We finally arrived at the official spot for the Marian Days after trying to find a parking spot.
We went to a restaurant and ordered Banh Quon. A delicious traditional Vietnamese meal.

My Top and Favorite OTP's! (Part 1)

  • Zalfie (Zoe Sugg and Alfie Deyes)

I am seriously in love with this ship, if there's anyone that fits Alfie more is Zoe :)

  • Kiandrea (Kian Lawley and Andrea Russett)

Some of my Favorite Snacks

For one, I snack a lot. Meaning, I probably shouldn't eat all those things, but come on...they're delicious! (No Particular Order)

 Meiji Hello Panda Biscuits

These are some really yummy snacks that I can get at many places, I'm pretty sure Target sells them, so you can get them! They have a delicious center inside which are strangely not to natural flavoring, but they're still good...

 Chex Mix
I could literally eat Chex Mix all day, any kind. Especially salty snacks, yum!
Cereal
So cereal with milk is delicious, but ever trying to munch on cereal? That's good. Any kind is, maybe sweeter than the normal or just plain cheerios.

High Kick 3 Ending

High Kick 3 Ending Reaction...

*DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED, CONTAINS SPOILERS*

Nothing really prepared me for the ending of High Kick 3. First off, I spent the last 122 episodes leading up to this wondering which woman Lee Juck would end up with. For some reason, the whole Jong Suk/Ji Won/Kye Sang really interested me in which one would end up being together (if that ever happened.) I literally shed tears three different times throughout the whole episode. When Ha Sun received the call from her father and immediately told Ji Suk to go watch the baseball game with her. I realized then that Ha Sun was never going to return to Korea. Poor Ji Suk who had no idea. I really wanted to know what happened to Kye Sang after he left to Rwanda. I really wanted to see Soo Jung end up with someone (preferably Seung Yoon). The ending really surprised me with Ji Won leaving in the middle of class. Nothing made me more emotional than the fact that Soo Jung ran after Ji Won to ask her about what Ji Won wanted to do. I sincerely felt it was a big part of the friendship. Seeing the flashbacks of the episodes and moments really made my eyes teared up. In the end, the finale didn't fail me at all, and I was definitely happy to see the ending. One question, why is all the endings so terribly sad and happy at the same time. I mean in High Kick 2 when Ji Hoon and Se Kyung were driving to the airport, why are there no happy endings?!? Well in all honesty, I felt bad for Ji Suk the most. If you haven't watched it, then you probably shouldn't have read this...oops.

July 30, 2013

Around 1:45 pm, I started to get ready for my organ lesson at 3:30 pm. Why so early you ask? This morning, I served mass and our parish priest invited all the daily mass altar servers to join him for breakfast at Perkins. This clearly made my morning a little bit better, I headed there with my aunt and mother, and they dropped me off. It felt a little funny for some reason...maybe it was the fact that I was the only girl among seven boys/men. I decided to order three strawberry bliss pancakes, yum! I wasn't able to practice on the organ because of the nice breakfast. The other boy who is a few months older than me and I had some very interesting conversations. It didn't help that some talked about how good it is to be a boy because "girls have periods" or "it's painful to give birth." As you can probably tell, those boys very well ranged from six years old to fourteen. I mean, sure we did talk about other mature things like high school and college, but only for a brief time. I'll refer to him as N. from now on. We talked about our favorite YouTubers and who we watch. Seriously, if you haven't watched Kurt Hugo Schneider..then you should. After the breakfast, since I don't have a phone, I got a ride from N.'s father, so I sat between his brother and him. It wasn't a long way back to my house anyways, and when we finally drove to my house, N. wouldn't get out of the car so I could get out. As soon as I got inside the house, I decided I was going to practice my piano. Well, a normal day went by, so back to the beginning.. I went to my church to practice on the organ there. After an hour of practicing, I went to my organ lesson at another church. So I went there for the usual half an hour to practice. At 3:30 pm, I found it really odd that my organ teacher had not arrived, yet. After five minutes, I assumed that he was just late. Turns out, the lesson wasn't written in his schedule and I ended up not having an organ lesson. Not very fun is it? Well, it's late now, and I have to go to sleep! (tomorrow is my birthday after all!) :) Good night, and may God Bless You!!
A Little Bit About Me, Thao-Vy...

Hello my lovely readers!

I thought it would be a good idea to write a post on myself to tell you all about myself. To be honest, you might be a little surprised that I'm only a thirteen year old turning fourteen on July 31. There's nothing I enjoy more than being able to write a story or an idea that I suddenly have on my mind. Korean drams and Vietnamese Dramas continuously inspire me. I've played the piano for about five or six years, and I've started playing the organ for about three months now. I'll be starting high school in less than a month at a new high school building! Songwriting is something I've enjoyed for quite a long time now, but I enjoy songwriting a lot. I wanted to start this blog to expand my writing skills. One day, I hope that I will be able to be upload my vlogs on YouTube :)

Monday, July 29, 2013

Hello!
I'm really excited to start this blog, I'm currently a writer on YouTube and I also maintain another blog about YouTubers. I love writing and it is a passion of mine for so long. I wanted to make this blog so I'd be able to share my life and hopefully learn to write more wonderfully and better. Thanks for reading this! I'll write more about the short trips I take with my family, or just about any other thing that's on top of my head. :)
